OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY (OCT)
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging test that uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of your retina, the light-sensitive tissue lining the back of the eye.
With OCT, each of the retina’s distinctive layers can be seen, allowing your optometrist to map and measure their thickness. These measurements help with diagnosis and allow us to recommend treatment guidance or specialist referral for glaucoma and retinal diseases, such as age-related macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.
Curtis Vision’s commitment to leading edge technology and continual improvement of services have allowed us to install specialist Nidek Navis EX and Zeiss HD Cirrus (above) technology which allows us to undertake OCT when appropriate.
